It may seem like magic, catching your limit aboard the Reel Magic, but it won’t be supernatural forces leading you to the fish, just experience and knowledge of a top-flight local captain guiding you to the finest fishing locations in the region.

Roberto knows the offshore currents, steep shelves, and lively reef habitats off the coast of the Yucatan so well, that he’ll lead your group of up to eight patrons to the premier locations on each day after considering the weather conditions, tide, currents, and season. Roberto’s charming personality and exhaustive knowledge of the local fish species and fishing grounds will ensure that you experience an enjoyable and successful excursion from the docks in Cancun. If you are staying in Playa Del Carmen, Cozumel, or Riviera Maya, we can arrange for round-trip transportation for you to reach our docks at an additional fee.

The deep channels that bring warm waters from the south also draw large pelagic fish into the area. These large ocean-dwelling species chase schools of feeder fish into the area and stay around during the spring and summer months. You can catch billfish like white marlin, sailfish and blue marlin. Blackfin tuna, wahoo, and dorado are among the other species that you can catch in the deep area waters.
